Manafest Sleep Walker Awake
The new record is out. Loud guitars, honest words, and one idea underneath all of it: you were never meant to sleep through your own life.
Out now
Songs written in the middle of the fight, not after it. About the years you spend going through the motions, the moment the noise finally wakes you up, and what you do with the morning after.
The fighter
Manafest is Chris Greenwood — a kid from Pickering, Ontario who lost his dad at five, picked up a skateboard and a notebook, and started rapping over rock guitars because nothing else fit.
What followed was two decades of doing it the hard way: independent records, thirty grand of borrowed money on the line, and a faith that kept showing up on the days the industry didn't. I almost quit. Then Japan blew up — and the whole thing started over. The songs still come from the same place.
The fighters
Over a thousand shows across four continents, and the same thing every night: people who found the music in the year they needed it most. The Fighter Club is where they keep finding each other.
